FRENCHMAN

Le Tot de Semilly x Alme

1993 Selle Francais Copper Bay Stallion 17h

Approved by the French National Stud

This powerful stallion, imported from France, has a world-class pedigree, with his sire Le Tot de Semilly (by Grand Veneur), an international show jumper already proven to sire international show jumpers in Europe, and who is sire amongst others of Diamant de Semilly - a World Cup team gold metal winner in the 2002 WEG at Jerez.

His dam Varsovie Trefle is a daughter of the foundation sire Alme and a grand-daughter of the thoroughbred sire Night and Day, who is classed 2nd world-wide thoroughbred sire by the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses), and is a direct ancestor of the Atlanta Olympic show jumping Gold Medal winner Jus de Pommes.

Frenchman is a powerful show jumper, and is very correct in his conformation, with strong gaits, and very importantly, an intelligent and kind personality. He has competed mainly as a three-day eventer, successfully showing  in Ocala, Florida in 2004-5 at the two-star level (** - see photo above) also winning in Canada. He is now standing at stud in Canada.

Frenchman is available by cooled semen in North America, or live cover (near Toronto).
