OLEANDRE was the son of the great foundation sire JALISCO B by ALME, whose bloodlines run in a great percentage of today's world-class show jumpers.

In the Sydney 2000 Olympics, ALME is represented by four generations of descendants, in addition to which, ALME descendants have produced 21 top 10 World Cup Finals placings, which represents 9.5% of ALL top 10 World Cup Finals placings !! An incredible achievement. Baloubet du Rouet (by Galoubet by Alme) won the World Cup THREE times in succession, and four SF Stallions, 3 of which descended from the Alme line, won the Team Gold Medal in the 2002 Team World Cup Show Jumping in Jerez, Spain.

Jalisco's sons include :

Ugoline, Oleandre's dam, was international in her own right, in Three-Day Events - her 75% thoroughbred blood traces back to Precipitation (the sire of FURIOSO) and Nearco.   Her influence can be seen in the elegance and floating movement so evident in Oleandre's get.

OLEANDRE himself, (shown in the above photo ridden by Kenny Krome in a rare "jumper" photo, as the stallion was being shown in Hunters), a 50% thoroughbred,  was qualified for the Washington D.C. and New York finals, before being shipped back to France in 1994 for breeding purposes, where he was located at retirement in Normandy, until he passed away in March, 2007.
