OUR BROODMARES
I - VARSOVIE TREFLE
by Alme out of Midnight II by Night and Day tb

1987 Bay Selle Francais broodmare, 17h1"
This mare foaled five get in at our farm in Normandy, prior to arriving here in the U.S.:
1993 - Frenchman (Le Tot de Semilly), currently a breeding stallion in Canada. (see his page on this website).
1995 - Hirondelle du Manet (Hand In Glove tb), sold in France as a 2 yr old.
1996 - Intermezzo (Alligator Fontaine), sold in France as a yearling.
1997 - Jovien du Manet, (Heisman) sold in France as a foal.
1999 - Lightheart (Alligator Fontaine), sold in the U.S. as a yearling.
2002 - Black filly foal (The Black Dancer) - died of fescue toxicosis.
2004 - Quick Fire (The Black Dancer) - Bay filly foal.
Varsovie is a magnificent mover and was an extremely powerful jumper prior to a severe hock injury which made her a broodmare quite young. She throws big foals, all good movers and well built. She is one of the last and in our opinion, the best, of Alme's daughters. However, as her old hock injury deteriorated severely during her last pregnancy, we have decided to retire her - she has now been promoted to official baby-sitter for our weanling crops. Her last foal Quick Fire looks very much like her, and should carry on her dam's world class genes.
II - KASCABELLE
1998 - 2005 deceased
by Oleandre (Jalisco B) out of Valine des Isles (Dolmen)

1998 Bay Selle Francais mare, 16h2"
Kascabelle was imported from France late 2000. Her dam-line is exceptional, with her granddam Rumba des Isles a daughter of Kinichao (Nankin) and the international show jumping mare Vitamine (Popof tb). This exceptional show jumping line is almost lost today and we had hoped to keep it alive with this lovely young mare, crossed with our thoroughbred stallion The Black Dancer. After foaling in 2005, she unfortunately died of colic. Her orphaned foal Renegade was fostered by another of our broodmares - he is visible on this website. Kascabelle's bloodlines will be transmitted via her daughter Quintessential.
HER GET:
2002 - Oracle Prince, bay colt (The Black Dancer) sold as a hunter in 2006.
2004 - Quintessential, bay filly (The Black Dancer) - see page 2004 Fillies.
2005 - Renegade, dark bay/brown colt by The Black Dancer - see page 2005 foals.
Quintessential and Renegade are visible here at the farm.
III - KRYSALIS
1998 Selle Francais Mare, 16h2", Bay
By Oleandre (Jalisco B) out of Chilka Mail (Noren)

This lovely mare has world class bloodlines top and bottom, including not only Jalisco B/Alme/Ibrahim via her sire Oleandre, but also Precipitation (sire of Furioso), and Noren, Katie Monahan's Horse of the Year, as well as Night and Day tb.
She has shown successfully at Training and Preliminary levels in Canada, and returned here in the fall of 2003. She is a powerful and fluid jumper and has excellent movement, and combined with Dancer's floating movement and elegance, she should produce some superior show offspring. She is a full sister to the jumper Impromptu seen on Oleandre's page.
Krysalis foaled her first filly, Ricochet, by The Black Dancer, in March 2005, visible on this website.
IV - FUNNY GIRL
This 16h2" bay Irish thoroughbred mare is by Synefos (Irish River by Riverman), out of Racine Carree by Dom Racine (Kalamoun). She descends from the excellent sire Caro who has sired a great number of international show jumpers. At the age of 3, Funny Girl was running over fences in France and was purchased at Deauville as a future broodmare due to her exceptional pedigree.
Funny Girl is the dam of Native Son and Ocelot Prince, a five year old currently in rehab training on the farm after a bout with EPM.
HER GET:
1999 - Karo Mio (Oleandre) - steeplechaser in France. (Sold)
2000 - Music Man (Oleandre) - 17h chestnut gelding currently eventing at Preliminary level, due to go Intermediate this year. (Sold).
2001 - Native Son (Oleandre) - 17h bay gelding in eventing training. Good mover and jumper, very laid back - see his page on this site.
V - SHARING
A 1993 dark bay/brown 16h2" registered thoroughbred mare by Whatever For (Caro), out of Regal Harlequin by Charging Prince.

This mare's pedigree traces back to Nasrullah, Precipitation, Menow, Turn-to, Princequillo and Caro - all proven "jumping genes" to compliment our stallion The Black Dancer.
In April, 2003 she foaled a dark bay/brown colt by The Black Dancer, now registered at the Jockey Club as Fleet Dancer, already sold. Sharing is also the dam of an elegant black filly, Fleet Electra, foaled in April 2005, visible on this site as well.
